Artist Statement

As an abstract artist, within my repertoire are works both on canvas and paper, of which my preferred mediums are not limited to charcoal, acrylic, sand, pastel and newspaper. Art for me is the incorporation of ancestry and the soul through texture, shapes and the use of words. I see the ordinary spirally, backwards, zigzagged, inside out, and even upside down. I believe that art is a representation of the aesthetics of life, self, and experiences.
